I liked this book, and HATED Fried Gre...Too funny! I liked this book, and HATED Fried Green Tomatoes! While I was a bit disappointed by the ending, and didn't care all that much for Dena, I LOVED Neighbor Dorothy and Aunt Elner. Standing in the Rainbow (2002) and Can't Wait to Get to Heaven (2006) are the sequels, where we learn more about Neighbor Dorothy (Rainbow) and Elner (Heaven). I was disappointed by a few inconsistencies though, esp. with regard to Elner's age.<br /><br />A Redbird Christmas, written in 2004 is my favorite Fannie Flagg book.
