When I was a Social Director, at an Assisted Living Community, we celebrated all kind of special days. We tried to make the days fun and engaging for our residents. We had some doozies like National Twinkie Day, for example, but we never had National Underwear Day. This is a new one for me. But why not? I think we should all celebrate this most hard working article of clothing. The pantie (or underwear) is used for many things...the protect your most delicate parts, to sleep in, and let's not forget to seduce and be sexy!!!!
I found out about this special occasion on Hip2Save.com. If you head over there you will find out how to win a brand new pair of underwear. While you are there, look around and you will find out how to save so much money. She really has helped me learn how to play the coupon "game" and stock up on some needed items at rock bottom prices.
Happy Pantie Day!!!!

Y'all are all winners in my eyes but the winner of the Give-a-Way is....AND let's celebrate with a Quiche for Brunch!!!!
I had a great time with my Give-a-Way, reading all the nice comments, meeting new followers and reading their blogs. I can not wait to do it again.... I am so sorry I did not announce the winner yesterday, time just got away from me and next thing I new it was time for Shabbot dinner. So without further delay...the winner, picked in the old fashioned method of placing strips of paper with everyones name in a bean pot....
The winner is....
The Joyful Thrifter
Please contact me at tiffany@diamondeventsbytiffany.com with your addy and I will get that shipped out ASAP. I do hope you enjoy the goodies and share some of the dishes you make from teh recipee book.
Saturday mornings are always better with Cofee and "Nookie", I will tell ya what "nookie" is in another post...it is not what you might think. |
Now for one of my Low Carb YUMMIE dishes....
Crustless Quiche.
This is such an easy dish and so filling and yummie.
I just look thru my fridge and find some things "I" think will be good and drag them out. Todays I used
8 eggs
Generous splash of cream
Whipped REAL GOOD with a dash (or more in my case) of Tony's and Garlic
Half a tube of Jenni O Turkey Sausage Browned
Throw in some Cilanta
Onions
and brown that up crisp (I like it crisp)
add Spiniche to the egg mixture (be sure to drain the spinache REAL good. I then use a slotted spoon to get even more moisture out)
Throw some Cheese in the bottom of a pretty pink Pyrex
Layer the Turkey Sausage on top of cheese
Pour on Egg and Spinache Mixture
Your oven should have been pre-heated to 350.
Now, this is important for easy clean-up, lay some foil on a cookie sheet and place the pretty pink Pyrex on top of foil covered cookie sheet.
Place in oven for 30 minutes....
Check and if you need more time...well...leave it in longer. You will know when it is done because it will be firm and kind of "puffed" up from the pretty pink Pyrex. To me, it looks like cornbread with stuff in it...LOL.
It will calm down as you let it sit for awhile.
I do not measure or really follow the same steps eachtime...but it always turns out so good. And it is Hubbie approved.
Very good with a dollap of salsa |

Give-A-Way to Celebrate 50 Followers...and who was number 50, anyway?
As I have promised, I am having a Give-A-Way to celebrate 50 members. I have been hunting and searching my stash, the DFW Metroplex, and ...well I guess that is all...for something fabulous to give away. I wanted something that reflects my personality, the atmosphere of this blog, and something that my readers could use. I think I have a pretty good collection.
For starters I would like to share a Cookbook from my collection. I was lucky enough to find TWO more of these Good Housekeeping Cookbooks from 1963 while at Goodwill the other day...I have a few more that are collecting dust on my kitchen cookbook shelf so I decided to share one with a lucky follower. I will put the other in my Etsy shop, Girlie Girl's Notuions. I do not know if 1963 was a popular year for this book but I like it. The graphics are cool and the recipes are timeless.
And to keep you nice and tidy while you are creating the yummy dishes from the recipe book, I am throwing in this ADORABLE apron from my collection. Look at the flattering vertical lines. And it is very ample so perfect for those of us with gorgeous curves.
Isn't the ric rack cute? There is ric rack detailing on the hem and pockets. I just love it.
While out and about, searching one of my favorite Antique Malls, I came across this little lipstick holder. It has a conveinent mirror built in. Now you have no excuse to go without lipstick. LOL
I am going treasure hunting later today....IF I get my housework done.
All you need to do in order to win is be a follower and comment. That's it. (I need you to comment so I know you are interested, I know some followers might not be interested in such things.)
To get extra entries, post about this give-a-way on your blog (and let me know...).
I will announce the winner on April 22 in honor of Earth Day.
Good luck!!!!
OH!!!! I almost forgot. I wanted to tell y'all about this really cool blog I found. The owner of the blog also happened to be follower number 50. I know, those who read my blog, know I have been "doing" eBay for the last month. I have not made a fortune but I have made a good deal of extra "mad" money...and every little bit helps, right? Well I would have never taken the plunge or have the confidence to get into eBay if it was not for My Dear Trash. Laura and Kelly runt he blog and have all kinds of info on reselling what they call "trash"... If you are even thinking about reselling, this is a very inspirational blog. I hope you check it out!!!!
